Storytelling Schools presented two days of workshops at the National Conference for Resource Teachers of Literacy in New Zealand. UK Director Chris Smith ran workshops on the Storytelling Schools approach. Director of Storytelling Schools New Zealand, Lis Swanson, reported on the progress of their pilot project in a number of schools in Christchurch. Two children from these schools told stories to the group while faculty members explained the benefits of the project for both staff and students.
